my fitness story

I started my fitness journey 14 years ago, and I have been personal training for the past 12 years as a certified ISSA trainer. I know that working out can be tough, and I am here to help motivate my clients and push them further then they ever thought they could go.

I was always active growing up. In college I kept in shape by dancing on the dance team. I never would call myself very athletic though. Sports never came easy to me and they still don't. After my 2nd year in college I began to not be happy with my body. My brother Vic invited me to the gym to teach me how to lift. He promised I would like it. Believe it or not, I have never stopped after that first day at the gym. You will never see me miss a workout unless I am very sick. Other then that you can find me at the gym. I loved the results I was getting and it motivated me to continue. I wanted to lean my legs out and get nice shapely shoulders and arms. I gained a lot confidence through lifting and discovered a new passion in my life.

I took my passion for fitness to the next level by competing in 10 plus NPC figure shows. Currently, I am no longer actively competing. My goal is to maintain a healthy well-rounded lifestyle. I enjoy cardio and lifting weights 6 times a week. In the summer I take to my road bike and enjoy long summer rides. I must watch my diet very carefully and preplan my meals. I definitely practice what I preach daily!

Favorite Body part to workout: Shoulders
Least favorite: Biceps (They never seem to grow)
Favorite cardio: Spinning and riding my road bike
Favorite cheat food: Chocolate!
Favorite clean eating food: I have lots!  Orange Roughy, Eggs, chicken
Favorite music: any kind of trance music (it gets me through my cardio!)
Favorite quote: You only live once, live it hard!
Favorite Hobbies: riding my road bike for LONG rides, taking Fozzy for walks in the park, camping, and teaching Spinning at Elite Fitness
I would describe myself as: self motivated, dedicated, goal orientated, very energetic, and I love to be busy!
Inspiration: my brother inspired me to start working out and more importantly taught me how to work out.

my training schedule:

Cardio every morning for an hour except on Sundays. Normally I spin at home or teach spin class. I try to add in running when I can.

Monday: Deadlift, pull ups, and other back exercises
Tuesday: Shouders (press, upright rows and front delts) and obliques
Wednesday: Biceps, triceps, and heavy ab's!
Thursday: Legs! Every part of the leg and glutes! Hit it hard once a week and be done! Always Squats and lunges!
Friday: Chest and rear and side delts
Saturday: Cardio only - Hopefully a bike ride!
Sunday: Rest day!
